Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday announced a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in the UKSSSC (Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission) paper leak case. The move is being seen as a bold step in the interest of students and unemployed youth of the state.
CM Dhami himself visited the protest site at Parade Ground, where candidates had been staging demonstrations for days. After listening to their concerns, he assured them of complete transparency in recruitment and announced the CBI probe, winning the confidence of thousands of aspirants. By making this announcement he forced leader Bobby Panwar to clap for CM Dhami and his bold decision.
In his address CM Dhami categorically said that this government neither bows to pressure nor spares the corrupt. The rights of hardworking youth will be protected, and the guilty will be sent to jail. He also made it clear that that protecting the interests of unemployed youth remains his government’s top priority.
Observers say this decisive move has not only reassured protesting students but also silenced critics who believed a CBI inquiry into the UKSSSC exam would never take place. The announcement is expected to boost public trust in the state’s recruitment process and restore faith in the system.
Dhami’s gesture is being described as a “Dhami style” approach — no hollow promises, only direct and firm decisions.
