In a significant cultural and spiritual development, the Uttarakhand Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has granted permission for the construction and installation of a special Sudarshan Chakra Sculpture at the Arrival Plaza in Shri Badrinath Dham. The decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting held today.
This artistic installation is a key component of the ongoing reconstruction and beautification efforts being carried out at Badrinath under the Master Plan, inspired by the vision and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Sudarshan Chakra, known as the divine weapon of Lord Vishnu, holds immense religious significance in Hinduism and its installation will serve as a powerful spiritual symbol for millions of pilgrims visiting the shrine each year.
As part of the Prime Minister’s dream project to revitalize and redevelop the Char Dham, the state government has undertaken extensive infrastructure and aesthetic development works in Badrinath. The installation of the Sudarshan Chakra artwork at the Arrival Plaza is aimed at enhancing the spiritual ambience and architectural beauty of the sacred site.
According to government officials, the artwork will be of a very special type, incorporating advanced design techniques and traditional symbolism. The sculpture is expected to become a major attraction for pilgrims and tourists alike, reflecting the divine energy associated with Shri Badrinath Dham.
Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that every aspect of the Dham’s reconstruction is being executed with utmost care to preserve the spiritual sanctity and cultural heritage of the site, while also improving the experience and facilities for devotees.
