Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today performed Ganga Aarti and offered prayers at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh. On this auspicious occasion, he prayed to Maa Ganga for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the state. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the International Yoga Festival 2025 organized by Parmarth Niketan, welcoming yoga enthusiasts from over 50 countries and various states of India.
Addressing the gathering, the CM expressed his delight over the global participation in the festival and emphasized that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is the most sacred place for any spiritual or cultural beginning. Referring to the G-20 Summit held in Narendranagar, he stated that international delegates who attended the summit carried with them the enriching experience of spirituality and yoga from Uttarakhand.
The CM also highlighted Rishikesh’s global identity as a center for yoga and peace, stating that it has become a preferred destination for yoga lovers worldwide. He further added that the Prime Minister’s visit to Harshil last year has opened new avenues for winter tourism in Uttarakhand, promoting tourism even during the colder months.
The Chief Minister Dhami invited tourists from India and abroad to participate in the upcoming Kumbh Mela and Nanda Rajjat Yatra, reinforcing Uttarakhand’s rich cultural and religious heritage.
The event was graced by Swami Chidanand Muni Maharaj, Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati, and numerous tourists from across the globe.
