Taking cognizance on the inadequate facilities in Pauri hospital, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convenes review meeting and asked the DM to submit the report. CM has also instructed to the DM and and the Health Department to provide all necessary basic facilities in the hospital with immediate effect and summoned a detailed report on the matter.
In response to the tragic incident, the Chief Minister announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each for the families of the deceased and ₹1 lakh each for those seriously injured. The directive aims to ensure swift relief to the affected families.
During a meeting with senior officials at his camp office on Tuesday, CM Dhami expressed concern over reports of chaos in providing proper medical treatment to the injured at Pauri Hospital. He instructed the DM to take strict action against negligent officers and staff while ensuring that the hospital is equipped with all emergency services, essential medicines, and adequate medical personnel at all times.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Uttarakhand now has an extensive network of health services, and there should be no gaps in providing critical care to patients. He stressed that hospitals across the state must remain fully prepared to handle emergencies and provide timely treatment to seriously ill or injured individuals.
Additionally, CM Dhami ordered an investigation into the causes of the bus accident. He instructed officials to take necessary action if negligence by the Transport Department is found to have contributed to the incident.
