Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured the family of the late Sukhwant Singh, a farmer from Kashipur and had committed suicide after making video, that justice will be ensured and that no negligence will be tolerated at any stage of the investigation into his death. The Chief Minister said the state government stands firmly with the bereaved family with complete sensitivity and that no person responsible for the tragic incident will be spared.
On Tuesday, CM Dhami spoke to Sukhwant Singh’s brother, Parvinder Singh, over the phone and expressed his deep condolences to the family. The conversation took place in the presence of Sukhwant Singh’s father and other family members. The Chief Minister said that while the loss suffered by the family cannot be compensated, the government is fully committed to ensuring the strictest possible legal action against those found responsible.
The Chief Minister said that as soon as he received information about the incident, he directed senior officials to take prompt action and ordered kumaon commissioner for magisterial probe. He stressed that the Uttarakhand government responds swiftly and decisively to any such incident, with the sole objective of ensuring justice for the victims.
CM Dhami also said that he would soon meet the bereaved family and reiterated the government’s commitment to a fair, transparent, and time-bound investigation in the matter.
