In view of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s upcoming visit to Rudrapur on July 19, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami personally reviewed the preparations for the landmark event. The Rudrapur Sports Stadium will host the Uttarakhand Investment Festival, where grounding of over ₹1 lakh crore worth of investments will be showcased—a significant milestone following the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit (UKGIS-2023) held in December.
During the site inspection, Chief Minister Dhami directed the event managers and officials to ensure all arrangements are completed by today, emphasizing the importance of the event for the state’s economic future. “This is not just a program, but a moment of pride for Uttarakhand. We must present our best,” said CM Dhami. He confirmed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of key projects facilitated by the Government of India.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to present the actual ground status of MoUs signed during an investors’ summit to the public. Of the 1,779 MoUs worth ₹3.57 lakh crore signed during UKGIS-2023, investment projects worth over ₹1 lakh crore have now been grounded. These projects are expected to create more than 81,000 new jobs across sectors.
