In the alleged case of sedition in JNU, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet in the special court of Patiala House Court. Delhi Police have been booked under IPC Section 124A (sedition), 323 injuries), 465 (forgery), 471 (using forged documents), 143 (unlawfully), 149 (unlawful manner for similar targets) ), 147 (rioting) and 120B (criminal conspiracy composition). Delhi court will consider the charge sheet on Tuesday.
In this charge sheet, CPI-M leader D Raja’s daughter Aparajita, former JNU president Kanhaiya Kumar, Omar Khalid, Anirban, Shehla Rashid, Akeeb Hussain, Mujib Hussain, Munib Hussain, Umar Gul, Reiyaya Rasool and Bashir Butt. The name of the other including the charge sheet is in.
This was the first action taken
Omar Khalid and two other students were convicted by the panel in 2016 and had rusticated them. The panel also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Kanhaiya Kumar, the president of JNU Student Union at that time. The hearing of this case was doing a high level committee of JNU, which had upheld the panel’s decision.
