In a strong endorsement of Uttarakhand’s economic strides, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday lauded Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his government for transforming investment promises into tangible development. Speaking at the Uttarakhand Investment Mahotsav 2025, Shah commended the successful grounding of ₹1 lakh crore worth of investments, calling it a “remarkable demonstration of governance, grit, and growth.”

Recalling the closing session of the UKGIS 2023, Shah shared how he had encouraged CM Dhami to move beyond MoUs and ensure real implementation. “Uttarakhand has shown true valor by grounding 30% of investment proposals—this is not a small achievement but a landmark milestone, especially for a Himalayan state,” he said.

The Home Minister applauded the Dhami government’s investor-friendly policies, focus on transparency, and the pace of execution, which he said have created a thriving industrial environment while maintaining ecological balance. “Bringing investment to a hilly region is as challenging as scaling a mountain. But under CM Dhami’s visionary leadership, this perception has been broken,” he remarked.

Shah described CM Dhami as a “brother,” a “popular leader,” and a “visionary Chief Minister,” and assured the continued support of the Modi government to make Uttarakhand a model of sustainable development and economic self-reliance.

The event celebrated the creation of over 81,000 jobs through grounded investments and projected further employment generation via ancillary industries. This milestone not only signals Uttarakhand’s growing industrial ecosystem but also reaffirms its position as a leading destination for responsible and high-impact investments.

The Investment Mahotsav marked a new chapter in the state’s journey toward inclusive, transparent, and innovation-led growth, reinforcing its identity as #DestinationUttarakhand.
