Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on wednesday released the republished edition of the book “Philosophy and Action of RSS for Hind Swaraj” at a special event held at the I.R.D.T. Auditorium in Dehradun. The book offers insights into the ideology and work of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the context of India’s cultural and civilizational vision.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the state government’s unwavering commitment to preserving the cultural identity of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), calling it a historic step toward ensuring legal uniformity and equality for all citizens, irrespective of religion or community.
The Chief Minister also spoke about “Operation Kalanemi”, an ongoing campaign against individuals and groups who, under the guise of spirituality, mislead people and harm religious sentiments. He warned that such elements would not be tolerated in Uttarakhand and asserted that they would be “sent back to where they came from.”
Reflecting on the broader cultural awakening taking place in India, CM Dhami said the nation is entering the Amrit Kaal—a period of civilizational renaissance—under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He noted that Uttarakhand is actively working to protect and promote its ancient traditions and spiritual heritage with what he called an “optionless resolution.”
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including RSS General Secretary Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, and senior RSS functionary Shri J. Nandkumar, among others.
The program underlined the state government’s alignment with cultural nationalism and its emphasis on policy decisions rooted in civilizational values.
