CM Dhami Inaugurates newly built Sports Stadium in Khatima, US Nagar

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has inaugurated a newly constructed sports stadium in Khatima, Udhamsinghnagar on Tuesday. The staudium has been built with an expense of over ₹16 crores. It will become sports hub for local youth and aspiring athletes in the near future.

In his address, CM Dhami expressed pride in fulfilling his long-standing resolution of building a modern sports infrastructure in the area. “This stadium is a gift from the state government to the youth of Khatima. It will provide a crucial platform for young talents to hone their skills and bring laurels to the state and the nation,” he remarked.

The stadium boasts facilities for multiple sports, including basketball, football, volleyball, and kabaddi. Additionally, hostel facilities have been provided to accommodate players during their training and competitions. The CM emphasized that the project reflects the government’s commitment to fostering a robust sports culture in Uttarakhand.

CM Dhami reiterated the state’s preparedness to host the 38th National Games, which will be organized under the theme of Green Games to promote environmental sustainability. With the coordination of ecology and economy, we are working towards a balanced development model.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for driving Uttarakhand’s rapid progress, adding, “Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is establishing a new global identity through continuous development.”

The inauguration ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, players, and officials, marking a new chapter in the region’s sports journey.
