CM Dhami plays Kabaddi after Inaugurating 50th National Junior Kabaddi Championship in Haridwar

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has played kabaddi with players after inaugurating the 50th National Junior Kabaddi Championship in Haridwar. He said that it is a proud moment for Uttarakhand and a significant milestone in the state’s growing prominence in sports.

He also assured that Uttarakhand is fully prepared to host the upcoming National Games, set to commence on January 28, which is expected to be a landmark event in the sports history of the state. The games will feature top athletes from across the country and further cement Uttarakhand’s position as a key player in the national sports arena.

The CM reiterated the government’s commitment to developing Uttarakhand into a leading sports hub. He highlighted various initiatives, including the continuous development of world-class sports infrastructure across the state. To encourage budding talent, scholarships and a four percent reservation in government jobs are being provided to players.

“Our goal is to support players at every level so that they can compete on national and international platforms and bring laurels to the state,” said CM Dhami. He further added that such events provide young athletes with the necessary exposure and opportunities to excel in their respective sports.

The Kabaddi Championship is expected to witness participation from talented players across India, offering a platform to showcase their skills. The state’s proactive efforts in sports development indicate a promising future for young athletes in Uttarakhand.
