Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on the occasion of Vijayadashmi participated in the grand Dussehra and Ravana Dahan programme organized by the Welfare Society at Hindu National School, Dehradun. The event was initiated by Rajya Sabha MP and BJP National Co-Treasurer Naresh Bansal. It drew a large gathering of local residents, public representatives, and cultural enthusiasts.

In his address CM Dhami said Dussehra is not just a festival but a guiding light for life. “It teaches us that no matter how powerful falsehood appears, its defeat is certain. Lord Shri Ram’s life is an eternal example of dignity, righteousness, and duty,” he said.

Marking the 100th year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dhami said the ideology and inspiration of the Sangh remain a driving force for millions. He also highlighted the cultural pride of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stressing that temples, fairs, and festivals are not only symbols of Sanatan faith but also vital sources of tourism and employment.

Speaking on governance, the Chief Minister said his government is committed to protecting youth and culture by enacting strict laws. He reiterated the state’s resolve to eradicate “land jihad, love jihad, spit jihad, and conversion jihad” and said property of rioters is being seized under the anti-riot law. On education reforms, he announced that from July 1, 2026, only those madrasas would be allowed to operate in Uttarakhand that follow the state-prescribed curriculum, ensuring quality education for children.

Highlighting the state’s anti-cheating law, Dhami said over 25,000 youths have secured jobs transparently in the last four years. “When irregularities surfaced in one examination, we acted immediately, arrested the accused, and set up an SIT. Since the youth demanded a CBI probe, I personally met them and assured full justice. Protecting their rights and future is my foremost priority,” he said.

Dhami further underlined his government’s zero tolerance policy towards corruption. “To realize the vision of Ramrajya, we have acted against more than 200 people, including IAS and PCS officers, in the last three years. For the first time in the state’s history, such strong action has been taken,” he said.

The Chief Minister concluded by urging citizens to adopt the values of truth, honesty, and dedication in their lives, strengthening Uttarakhand’s journey towards becoming a leading state.

Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Khajan Das, senior leaders, and a large number of people attended the celebration.
