In a bid to organize the upcoming Kumbh Mela 2027 in Haridwar in a divine and grand manner, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan on Thursday conducted a comprehensive field inspection of the fair area. He directed all concerned agencies to ensure that permanent and temporary construction works, ghat expansions, and other facilities are completed by December 2026, well ahead of the Kumbh. Emphasizing devotees’ safety, he instructed that railing work on ghats be prioritized.
