Monsoon Session in Gairsain Expected to Be Stormy; Opposition to Raise Disaster and Panchayat Election Issues

The upcoming monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Assembly in Gairsain is likely to witness heated debates, with the opposition gearing up to corner the government on issues related to recent natural disasters and the conduct of Panchayat elections.

The opposition has signaled that it will strongly question the state government’s preparedness and response in the wake of the devastating cloudbursts, landslides, and floods that have caused widespread damage across several districts. Demands for comprehensive relief, rehabilitation, and long-term disaster management planning are expected to dominate the discussion.

In addition, the firing incident during the election of Panchayat chiefs and deputy chiefs in Betalghat, along with allegations of mismanagement in the three-tier Panchayat elections, is likely to be raised aggressively in the House.
