Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Rekha Gupta from the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency during the Delhi Assembly elections. Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, CM Dhami emphasized the achievements of states governed by “double engine” BJP governments while launching a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leadership.

Highlighting BJP’s commitment to development, CM Dhami accused the AAP government of failing to implement Central Government schemes meant for the welfare of the poor. He alleged that AAP, which had initially gained power by highlighting Congress’s corruption, has now surpassed Congress in corrupt practices. “Today, Kejriwal has become the brand ambassador of corruption, and his party a scam party,” Dhami remarked, adding that Delhi’s atmosphere has been tarnished by AAP’s misgovernance.

He also criticized Arvind Kejriwal for failing to deliver on promises, particularly his earlier pledge to transform the Yamuna into a river resembling the Thames. Dhami pointed to the deteriorating condition of the Yamuna as evidence of unfulfilled commitments.

Taking aim at both AAP and Congress, CM Dhami accused them of prioritizing vote bank politics over national interest. He claimed that these parties advocate for the rights of infiltrators and Rohingyas while undermining Hindu sentiments, citing their silence on the Ram temple consecration ceremony. “Congress and AAP have a secret agreement,” he said, urging Delhi voters to make a decisive choice for the BJP.

The event witnessed significant participation from BJP leaders and supporters, including Vinay Rohila, Amit Nagpal, Shiv Ratna Negi, and others. Rekha Gupta, the BJP candidate, expressed gratitude for the CM’s support and urged voters to bring BJP to power in Delhi for a corruption-free and development-driven governance.
