Uttarakhand’s tableau, based on the theme of ‘Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports,’ secured third place in the Republic Day parade held on the Kartavya Path, according to the People’s Choice category. Gujarat’s tableau, titled ‘Swarnim Bharat: Vikas aur Virasat,’ earned the first position while Uttar Pradesh’s tableau ‘Mahakumbh 2025: Swarnim Bharat Vikas aur Virasat’ secured second place.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated the people of Uttarakhand and the 16 artists who contributed to the tableau’s success. He expressed pride in the state’s rich cultural heritage and adventure sports being showcased at such a prestigious event. “Uttarakhand’s tableau attracted everyone’s attention with its presentation of cultural heritage and adventure tourism. The state government is committed to providing tourists with a safe and pleasant experience,” Dhami said.
The tableau highlighted Uttarakhand’s famous Aipan art, known for its social, cultural, and religious significance, alongside the state’s adventure sports and tourism potential. The presentation aimed to promote the state’s traditions and position it as a hub for adventure tourism.
Director General of Information, Banshidhar Tiwari, emphasized that the Chief Minister had instructed the inclusion of the tableau to enhance national recognition of Uttarakhand’s heritage and adventure offerings. Joint Director of Information, K.S. Chauhan, led the tableau team during the parade.
Adding to the state’s achievements, Uttarakhand’s artists also won second place in the cultural program held at the National Stadium Camp in New Delhi. The state’s participation in the Republic Day celebrations not only brought pride to its residents but also further established Uttarakhand as a destination rich in culture, tradition, and adventure.
