The Uttarakhand Government’s Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) conducted a comprehensive mock drill for the upcoming Uttarakhand UCC (Uniform Civil Code) Portal, marking a critical milestone in its operational readiness before the official launch.
The drill involved over 3,500 citizens registering on the portal through dummy entries, with action taken on approximately 200 applications by sub-registrars and registrars. Additionally, 7,728 officer IDs were created, ensuring backend readiness.
The primary aim of the exercise was to identify technical and operational challenges to ensure a smooth rollout. The mock drill successfully highlighted a few minor issues, including glitches in the Aadhaar-enabled registration process and mapping errors between registrar and sub-registrar user accounts in certain regions. ITDA promptly addressed these concerns and initiated measures for their resolution to avoid similar issues during the official launch.
The exercise also allowed the agency to streamline the portal’s workflow, ensuring optimized processes from user registration to final approvals. This focus on efficiency will enhance user experience and service delivery, making the platform more robust and reliable.
To further ensure readiness, ITDA has scheduled another mock drill at the Common Service Center (CSC) level on January 24.
The UCC Portal is expected to revolutionize service delivery across the state, offering streamlined processes and improved access for citizens. ITDA remains committed to refining the portal to make it user-friendly and efficient, ensuring its successful implementation.
This initiative underscores the state government’s commitment to leveraging technology for enhancing governance and citizen services.
