Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed heartfelt condolence over the demise of former Defence Minister and senior politician George Fernandes. While praying for the peace of the departed soul, he expressed his sympathy towards the bereaved family. In his condolence message, Chief Minister said that Late George Fernandes was a grassroot leader, who in the capacity of the Union Defence Minister discharged his duties effectively.
He said that George Fernandes had a specific identity as a struggling labour leader. He always raised the voice for the rights and interests of labourers and hard working people. Chief Minister said that a chapter of socialist thinking has ended with the demise of Mr. George Fernandes. He said that the demise of Mr. George Fernandes is an irreparable loss for the country.
