Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the ‘Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand scheme’ by lighting the lamp at a function held at Pratap Inter College Premises at New Tehri on Wednesday. He said that 3,77,744 families have got golden cards under ‘Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Scheme ‘ till date and providing better health facilities is the top priority of the state government.
He further said that ‘Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Scheme’ is welfare scheme under which every family will get benefit of availing Rs. Five lakh of free medical treatment per annum. The scheme is being implemented in the entire state and all 23 lakh families of the state will get benefitted and 35,000 golden cards are being made every day. He said that aim of the scheme is that nobody should suffer due to paucity of funds for getting medical treatment and people belonging to every section of the society is to get this benefit. The Chief Minister said that eleven hospitals in Tehri district have been identified for “Atal Ayushman Scheme” and already 122 people have received the benefit of the scheme in the district.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat appealed to the people to motivate their near and dear ones to get their golden card so that more and more families get the benefit. He said that his government has given the Boradi District hospital at New Tehri under PPP mode so that the people of the area are not forced to go out for better health facilities. He said that 13 specialist doctors will remain posted at Boradi District Hospital. He also congratulated the District Magistrate Sonika for opening four telemedicine centres in far off places of the district. Chief Minister also gave Golden cards under ‘Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Scheme’ to Pratima, Serva Devi, Anil Prasad Bijalwan, Sadhna Rawat and Asha Bahuguna.
Chief Minister Mr.Trivendra Singh Rawat also inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 89 development projects worth Rs. 221.81 crore at Tehri. A total of 49 projects completed at a cost of Rs 88.84 crores were inaugurated while foundation stone of 40 project worth Rs. 132.97 crores were laid. The projects which were inaugurated and for which foundation stones were laid belonged to rural development, PMGSY, peyjal corporation, education , PWD, agriculture, health, minor irrigation and Ayurvedic department.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that work on building bridges to shorten the travelling time for general public is being expedited. He said that there is a demand of 220 bridges in the state which would be built by 2022. This year approval for building 125 bridges has been given. He said that a sum of rs 87 crore in one go has been given for early completion of Dobrachanti bridge and soon it will be dedicated to the people.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that this year international status will be given to the Tehri festival and people from 13 countries will be incited for the festival.
He said that this would help generate employment for local people with the arrival of tourists. He said that the state gets maximum benefit from tourism and the state government is focusing of tourism. He said that there are immense tourism opportunities in Tehri and the state government proposes to hold Tehri lake festival on February 25, 26 and 27 every year. The Chief Minister said that for agriculture development the state government is going to start providing zero interest agriculture loans to the farmers of the state. The Women Self help groups will also be given interest free loans up to Rs five lakhs. He said that the state government is working on a policy of zero tolerance so that different projects are successful and every penny of government money is utilized and people get benefitted.
Higher Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to care about every family by starting ’Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Scheme’ to provide universal health care to everyone. He said that the state government has decided to observe 2019 as “Employment Year” and more than ten thousand jobs in various departments will be given during the year.
Tehri MP Mala Rajluxmi Shah,Zila Panchayat Chief Sona Sajwan, legislators namely Dhan Singh Negi, Vijay Singh Panwar, Shakti Lal Shah and Vinod Kandari, District Magistrate Sonika, SSP Yoginder Singh Rawat and others were present on the occasion .
