A Veterans Rally was organised for Army Veterans and Veer Naris at Uttarkashi under the aegis of IBEX Brigade on October 29. It was organized to create awareness amongst the Veterans and Veer Naris about the latest welfare measures instituted by the state and Central Government and to project the image of the Army. The event was attended by District Magistrate, Uttarkashi and officials from Zila Sainik Board, Uttarkashi.
Extensive arrangements were made by IBEX Brigade to assist Veterans to resolve their basic problems. Various interactive stalls of Garhwal Rifle Records Pension Cell, Job Placement cell, Bank counters, Army veterans grievance handling portal, ECHS Pension Counters, LIC of India, Zila Sainik Board, Agriculture cell, Fishery cell, Animal Husbandry cell and Aadhar / PAN Card Registration cell were incorporated in the Rally. In addition, a medical camp was also organised in the Rally wherein the medical facilities including pathology backup, basic medical investigations and distribution of medicines were made available to the Veterans and their families in the Rally.
The Rally was attended by an overwhelming number of Army Veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents. Elaborate arrangements made by IBEX Brigade at the rally were appreciated by one and all.
