PM asks reconstruction plan for Kedanath tday

Despite having busy schedule prime minister Narendra Modi spares his 20 minutes to see the state government planning for reconstruction work at Kedarnath before leaving for Delhi from Doon. He also apprised them the priority of the union government too. A delegation of bureaucrats led by Chief secretary UK Singh made brief presentation before PM Modi at safe house of jolly grant airport. At the time of presentation governor Dr KK Paul and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat were also present there.

As we know during his visit to Kedarnath on october 20 PM had unveiled several foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Kedarnath and its surrounding areas known as Kedarpuri. A week later he sought blue print of the plan and officials made presentation before him.

They apprised that to supervise the reconstruction of Kedarnath a high power committee led by Chief Secretary has been constituted. Secretary Tourism, Urban development, PWD, Irrigation and Disaster management have been made members of the committee.  Secretary Tourism would be nodal officer at government level while SDM Ookhimath has been made nodal officer at district level. they will supervise the progress on daily basis. Meanwhile GIS mapping work of Kedarnath has begun and will complete by November 15.

Later, the PM was given a warm send-off at the Jollygarnt airport, Dehradun by Governor Dr KK Paul, chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and speaker Premchand Aggarwal besides a host of BJP leaders as he left for Delhi.
