98K families live without electricity in the state

Strange but true that 98000 families of the state are living without electricity. This was disclosed by the Secretary Power Radhika jha while addressing in a function, where hundreds of people gathered to receive solar briefcase at CM residence on Sunday. As we know that Hans foundation’s wing has developed a solar briefcase and distributed 101 units among the needy people lives in remotest areas of the state.

she further disclosed that 98000 families and 4700 Tonks are yet to be connected with electricity in the state. As far as villages are concerned then mere 53 villages are not connected with electricity. In which 26 villages matters are pending before the forest department for their NoC. Since Trivendra singh rawat  took charge as CM of the state, he has been personally supervising the progress of Rural electrification programme on day to day basis. Even department has connected 20 villages with electricity. Even on Saturday three villages of Pithoragarh were connected with electricity.
