Saras Mela inaugurated by CM tday

The Himanya Saras Mela-2017 has been inaugurated by the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat here in Parade ground on Saturday. In which 18 states self help group (SHG), Artisans and self employed have displayed their products including manufactured and agriculture produce.

In his address CM Rawat said that with this exhibition programme people would get a chance to know about the local produce and handicraft and manufacturer/producer would get market to sell their product/produce. This year 18 states have been participating so that they would get a platform to exchange their techniques with themselves.

CM reiterated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken pledge to double the farmers’ income, house and toilet for all by 2022 and connect each house with electricity by May 1, 2018. He also appealed to everyone to extend your support to complete the pledge. Rural livelihood Mission’s objective is to promote self employment and SHG and educate the about how to self marketing of your product. To develop rural area we will have to give emphasis on employment, electricity, water, road and develop other basic amenities. He stressed that we can do marketing of organic produce. He assured that their government is always working on how to promote SHG.

Other dignitaries including Tehri MP Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah, MLA Khajan das, Rural development & Migration commission chairman SS Negi, city BJP president Umesh Aggarwal and additional secretary Rural development Yugal Kishore Pant were present there.
