RBI’s banking work office inaugurated by CM

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has inaugurated the RBI office, which will work for the government banks in the state, here in Dehradun on Tuesday at Secretariat. Earlier RBI used to do government banking work from its Kanpur branch.

While congratulating on the occasion Chief Minister said it a major step for State Government. Financial and banking work of State Government will be done more conveniently now along with accelerating economic progress in the State.

Finance Minister Prakash Pant said that it would help to establish better understanding between RBI and State Government. Since inception of uttarakhand banking service has grown four times. He reiterated that state government is making full effort to maintain economic balance.

RBI chief general manager S Ramaswami has assured that RBI would extend their full support in state development.With this division state treasury and sub treasury would have better coordination with RBI.

Later they also released the “Suchna Pustika” of  RBI on the occasion.
