Uttarakhand cabinet has taken six decisions including Animal Husbandry, Transport, Housing, and Judicial sectors to boost infrastructure, governance, and welfare measures on Wednesday.
Under the Animal Husbandry Department, the government will roll out the Poultry Feed Subsidy Scheme in nine hill districts – Almora, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Pauri, Bageshwar, Tehri, and Rudraprayag. In 2025-26, a total of 816 beneficiaries will be covered under the Broiler Farm Scheme and 781 under the Poultry Valley Establishment Scheme. For this, the state has sanctioned a feed subsidy of ₹2.83 crore to benefit poultry farmers and strengthen rural livelihoods.
In the Transport Department, the Cabinet approved the creation of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) – Dehradun City Transport Limited. The new entity will operate e-buses under the Dehradun Smart City project, run e-buses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva Yojana, and streamline the functioning of the current city bus services to improve urban mobility in the state capital.
For the Housing Department, approval was given to allot 9.918 hectares of land in Fazalpur Mehraula, Tehsil Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar, at the prevailing circle rate in favor of the District Level Development Authority. The move is aimed at promoting planned colonies and commercial construction in the region.
In the Judicial Section, the government approved the creation of one post of Senior Chief Private Secretary (Level-13, Pay Scale ₹1,23,100–2,15,900) in the Stenographer Cadre at the Advocate General’s Establishment, High Court Nainital, along with one post of Stenographer (Level-5, Pay Scale ₹29,200–92,300).
Additionally, the Cabinet cleared the proposal to present the ninth annual report of Uttarakhand Right to Service (2023-24) in the state assembly, reaffirming its commitment to accountability and transparency in governance.
