CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Inspects Rain-Hit Areas in Raipur Region

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an on-ground inspection of rain-affected areas in the Raipur region of Dehradun on Thursday, following heavy rainfall that led to waterlogging and disruption in several localities. He visited Kirsali Chowk, IT Park, Nanurkheda, Amwala, Tapovan, and Shanti Vihar to assess the situation and interact directly with affected residents.

During the visit, CM Dhami assured people that public safety remains the topmost priority of the state government. He listened attentively to the concerns of local residents and instructed officials from the district administration to provide immediate assistance and relief to those impacted.

The Chief Minister emphasized the urgent need for regular maintenance and cleaning of drainage systems to prevent waterlogging. He also directed officials to establish proper water drainage mechanisms in flood-prone areas to avoid future damage.

Highlighting the importance of disaster preparedness, CM Dhami instructed the administration to install early warning signs and maintain heightened vigilance in sensitive zones. He further called for round-the-clock alertness from the police and all concerned departments to ensure a swift and coordinated response in case of any emergency.

“Our priority is to minimize response time and protect both lives and property. Departments must work in synergy to tackle any situation effectively,” he said.

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the inspection were Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Vice Chairman of the State Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Ruhela, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, and senior officials from the district administration. The visit underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring timely response, infrastructure readiness, and public reassurance during the monsoon season.
