Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a high-level meeting to review the preparations for the upcoming ₹1 lakh crore Grounding Ceremony, which is scheduled to be held in Rudrapur, on Thursday. The CM has directed all concerned departments to ensure that preparations are completed in a time-bound and coordinated manner, with a focus on making the event grand and impactful.
Highlighting the significance of the event, CM Dhami said the ceremony will be a landmark in Uttarakhand’s industrial journey, showcasing the state’s emergence as a rising industrial hub. He emphasized that the event must reflect Uttarakhand’s vision for economic progress and industrial growth.
The ceremony will be graced by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah as the Chief Guest, adding national prominence to the occasion. CM Dhami noted that this event will pave the way for massive employment generation and serve as a springboard for local entrepreneurship and economic prosperity.
The Chief Minister also shared that during the 2023 Global Investors Summit, the state had received investment proposals worth ₹3.5 lakh crore, out of which projects worth ₹1 lakh crore are now being grounded. This milestone reflects the strong investor confidence in Uttarakhand’s policies and potential.
Dhami instructed officials to ensure that every element of the ceremony—from logistics and security to stakeholder engagement and media coverage—must be handled with precision and foresight to project a positive and business-friendly image of Uttarakhand.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including ACS RK Sudhanshu, ACS R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretaries Shailesh Bagauli and Vinay Shankar Pandey, ADG AP Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, and MD of Industries Saurabh Gaharwar.
