Pauri District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan conducted a thorough inspection of the under-construction Bajrang Setu bridge at Swargashram Jaunk late last evening. During the visit, he closely reviewed the progress and quality of the ongoing work and issued clear directives to the concerned officials to ensure timely completion without compromising on standards.

Dr. Chauhan instructed Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), Muni Ki Reti, Vijay Mogha, to complete all essential structural works related to the safety of the bridge by April 20. He further directed that once these parts are completed, the installation of glass panels, railings, and footpath construction should commence immediately and be executed swiftly to meet the overall project deadline.

Highlighting the significance of Bajrang Setu from a tourism perspective, the District Magistrate emphasized that both the speed and quality of the work should be given top priority. He mentioned that the bridge’s timely inauguration is crucial to enhance tourist convenience and safety in the Swargashram area, a popular spiritual and tourist destination.

Dr. Chauhan added that a well-constructed and attractive bridge will boost the local tourism economy and leave a positive impression on visitors. He stressed that negligence in quality or delays would not be tolerated.

Executive Engineer Vijay Mogha assured that the team is working with full dedication to meet the deadline and all safety measures are being thoroughly implemented. Other officials of the department were also present during the inspection.

The District Magistrate’s active involvement and on-site supervision reflect the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and promoting tourism in the region.
