Uttarakhand to Host 38th National Games and Winter National Games in 2025

DNB/New Delhi – The 38th National Games will be held in Uttarakhand from 28 January to 14 February 2025, marking a major milestone for the state. In addition to the National Games, Winter National Games will also be organized. The detailed schedule will be announced during the Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) general assembly meeting on 25 October 2024.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami met with Indian Olympic Association President Dr. P.T. Usha in New Delhi on Wednesday to express gratitude for selecting Uttarakhand as the host for these prestigious games. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to Dr. Usha to visit the sacred shrines of Shri Badrinath and Shri Kedarnath.

State Ready for National Games

Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand is fully prepared for the 38th National Games. He noted that significant infrastructure has already been developed in the state to facilitate the event. Drawing from the experiences of previous National Games hosted by other states, Uttarakhand aims to organize the games in an even more impressive and well-coordinated manner. Dhami said, “Our effort will be to make these National Games better than the previous ones.”

Enhanced Facilities for Players and Visitors

The CM Dhami has  assured that along with superior arrangements, better facilities will be provided to players and visitors coming from across the country. He highlighted that organizing the National Games in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will boost the morale and enthusiasm of the state’s people and provide an excellent platform for emerging players to showcase their talents.
