Anti encroachment drive conducted in Mussoorie

A wide-ranging campaign was launched on Friday against encroachment on goods road in Mussoorie. Under the leadership of Sub-Collector Gopal Ram Vinwal, the team of the municipality started working with the police to remove encroachment from Kitabghar. In the meantime, there was scuffle with the team of encroachments. The encroachment was removed from Kitabghar to the Landour Market on Friday. SDM Gopal Ram Vinwal said that there were frequent complaints of encroachment on Mallroad. To maintain the beauty of Mallroad, it should be free from encroachment.

Visitors from outside can openly visit Mallroad. On this occasion the encroachment was removed from Kitabghar to the picture palace. On using plastic, 13 shopkeepers were imposed a fine of 22 thousand rupees. While dismantling encroachment on the road from Mall Road, the situation of jam also arose, causing trouble to the tourists as well as local residents. On this occasion, the municipal staff and police personnel were present along with the municipal officials.
