Queen’s baton for commonwealth game reached UK

Queen’s baton, which will eventually lit the torch of commonwealth game, Gold Coast Australia  in April 15, 2018. has reached Uttarakhand today. it was received by the state sports minister Arvind Pandey and Finance Minister Prakash Pant along with MLA Rajkumar Thukral at Pantnagar airport, Udhamsinghnagar.

The baton is being brought by a team, which comprise of five members including Kerry thompson, kerry alger kocks, Ramond Kichning, colin Mcferson and Indian olympic association joint secretary Rakesh Gupta. They are being assisted by the state sports department Deputy director Dharmendra Bhatt. from Pantnagar it will go to Rudrapur, Haldwani and Nainital. On friday the torch baton will reach to Jollygrant Airport Dehradun. From here it will go to haridwar and Rishikesh.
Thereafter the baton will return to delhi.
