In anticipation of the upcoming pilgrimage to Badrinath Dham, District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana conducted an on-site inspection of the Dham on Wednesday. His visit aimed to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place before the commencement of the yatra.
During the inspection, Khurana directed the departments involved in yatra arrangements to expedite their work by deploying adequate manpower. He emphasized the importance of timely completion of tasks to facilitate a smooth and hassle-free pilgrimage experience for devotees. Additionally, instructions were issued to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), Jal Sansthan, and Nagar Panchayat to ensure provisions for electricity, water, and well-maintained roads in the Dham area.
Khurana meticulously inspected various aspects of the pilgrimage infrastructure, including the Arrival Plaza, Loop Road, Aastha Path, Sheshnetra Lake, hospital facilities, and the residences of priests. The District Magistrate sought detailed updates on the progress of works being carried out under the Master Plan from PIU Executive Engineer Vipul Saini.
Accompanying Khurana during the inspection were Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, BKTC CEO Yogendra Singh, SDM Joshimath Chandra Shekhar Vashishtha, and other concerned officers. Their collective efforts underscored the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment of pilgrims embarking on the revered journey to Badrinath Dham.
