Utttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a program organized by migrant Uttarakhand people in Hyderabad on Thursday. In which he emphasized that the significant contributions of Uttarakhand natives across the globe. Reflecting on his recent visits to various cities during the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit-2023, Dhami highlighted the strong connection Uttarakhandis maintain with their culture, heritage, and roots, even in distant lands.
During the event, CM Dhami noted Prime Minister Modi’s affinity towards Uttarakhand, symbolized by his wearing of the state’s cap during his visits. Sharing his experiences from a cultural program in London, Dhami expressed astonishment at the preservation of Uttarakhand’s traditions in foreign territories.
Citing Prime Minister Modi’s vision for Uttarakhand, Dhami asserted that the state is poised to excel in the third decade of the 21st century. He emphasized the transformative impact of projects like the Chardham All Weather Road, which aims to drastically reduce travel time between Dehradun and Delhi. Highlighting the popularity of the Chardham Yatra, Dhami mentioned the significant number of registrations received within a week of opening.
Dhami further outlined various developmental initiatives, including the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, stringent measures against copying in exams, and laws to prevent religious conversions. He underscored the government’s commitment to preserving Uttarakhand’s identity, evident through initiatives like the anti-encroachment campaign and efforts against land jihad.
Looking ahead, Dhami expressed plans to organize events for Uttarakhandis worldwide ahead of the State Foundation Day, emphasizing the importance of voter participation in the upcoming elections. He urged citizens to thwart the agendas of anti-national forces and reaffirm their support for Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
The event was attended by Vinay Rohilla, Chairman of the Disaster Management Advisory Committee of Uttarakhand, along with members of the Uttarakhandi diaspora, fostering a sense of unity and pride among attendees.
