Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami accused the Congress party of spreading false information to mislead the public, stating that it’s unfortunate for those who imposed an emergency in the past to now talk about threats to democracy. Speaking at a public gathering on GMS Road, he highlighted the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, claiming that corrupt individuals are now either behind bars or out on bail.
During his address, Dhami paid tribute to former MLA and speaker Harbans Kapur, expressing confidence that the people of Dehradun Cantonment Assembly will continue to support the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He appealed people to cast their votes for the party’s Tehri candidate Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, emphasizing that their support will contribute to re-electing Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.
Dhami praised PM Modi’s commitment to Uttarakhand, noting that projects worth Rs two lakh crore have been sanctioned under his leadership. He highlighted the progress made under Modi’s tenure since 2014, mentioning the construction of 55,000 km of National Highways, establishment of 15 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and development of 74 airports.

Dhami boasted about India’s achievements in defence exports, stating that the country exported defence equipment worth Rs 21,000 crore to 80 nations. He also highlighted the implementation of the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme for armed forces personnel.
Regarding Uttarakhand’s achievements under the BJP government, Dhami mentioned the passage of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill, anti-copying laws, anti-riot ordinances, and action against illegal land acquisition. He noted that the government has provided 30% reservation in government jobs for women in the state and arranged for 10% horizontal reservation for statehood activists.
