Uttarakhand is set to have fresh rain/’snow spell for three days starting from February 19 after the state has a long period of dry spell with the mercury on the rise. Informing this, the Meteorological Centre director Bikram Singh said that the spell would be moderate to heavy on Monday, adding that Dehradun would have rains on the day.
As per the forecast, rain/snow would particularly lash Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar districts on Sunday. On Saturday, the lowest minimum temperature 6.3°C was recorded at Munsiyari. The dry spell would return afterFebruary 22, Singh said.
The weather forecast for Dehradun for Sunday is partly to generally cloudy sky. Thunder cloud development is likely to occur towards evening/night in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 28ºC and 13ºC respectively in Dehradun on Sunday.
