State Meteorological department has forecast light rain/snow at a few places in Uttarakhand from February 19 for a couple of days. Things were dry across the state on Thursday. While the minimum temperatures remained normal in the plains and markedly above normal in the hills of the state. The lowest minimum temperature 4.9°C was recorded at Munsiyari on Thursday.

The meteorological centre director Bikram Singh said that dry weather is likely to prevail in Uttarakhand on Friday and Saturday. The weather forecast for Dehradun is partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 27°C and 12°C respectively here on Friday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 26.9ºC (five degree above the normal) and 12.3ºC (four degree below the normal) in Dehradun respectively while it was 19.0ºC (six degree above the normal) and 6.3ºC (four degree below the normal) in Mukteshwar and 26.2ºC (two degree above the normal) and 9.5ºC (two degree below the normal) in Pantnagar on Thursday. In Tehri district, maximum temperature was reported as 18.7 degree Celsius while the minimum was 7.6 degree Celsius on Thursday.
