The summer capital of Uttarakhand, Bhararisain, witnessed a vibrant celebration of the 78th Independence Day on Thursday as Cabinet Minister and Chamoli district in-charge Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat hoisted the national flag at the Assembly premises.
Paying tribute to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters, Dr. Rawat extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to the people of the state. He said the day serves as a reminder to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, unity, and service towards the nation.
The celebration featured colourful cultural performances by school students, including patriotic songs, dances, and short plays that filled the venue with fervent national pride. The heartfelt presentations moved the audience, creating an atmosphere soaked in the colours of patriotism.
The event saw the dignified presence of public representatives, administrative officials, teachers, parents, and local residents, all joining together to mark the historic occasion.
