Its clamshell bonnet adopts a more streamlined profile, while the rear door handles revert to a traditional placement. At the back, notable changes include a redesigned tailgate, a revised bumper featuring a protective skid plate, and an integrated rear spoiler adorned with a stop lamp. Additionally, the model sports LED taillights accented by C-shaped DRLs, alongside blackened ORVMs, roofs, and pillars, accentuated by prominent character lines adorning the door panels.
Interior and Features
Drawing inspiration from the Baleno and Fronx, the updated Swift showcases a fresh dashboard layout highlighted by a floating infotainment system. Anticipated features encompass wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated connected car technology, user-friendly steering-mounted controls, automatic climate controls, and a host of other convenient amenities.
Engine and Gearbox
Anticipated to propel the new Swift is an entirely fresh 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, set to supplant the current K12 four-cylinder engine. While specific specifications remain undisclosed, industry projections suggest it will generate upwards of 85 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. Gearbox choices will encompass a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT.
Maruti Suzuki India has initiated pre-bookings for the fourth-generation Epic New Swift, requiring an initial payment of ₹11,000. While the company has yet to specify a definitive launch date, it describes its upcoming hatchback as “sporty” with “dynamic driving performance.” The new Swift aims to marry its renowned sporty DNA with contemporary expectations of environmental sustainability and reduced emissions.
ecently, Maruti Suzuki implemented a price hike for the Swift and certain Grand Vitara variants, resulting in a maximum price increase of up to Rs 25,000. Despite this adjustment, customer interest remains strong, reflected in Maruti Suzuki’s annual sales volume exceeding two million units. This achievement translates into a notable increase in net profit for FY 2023–24.
