JD(S) MLA’s residence engulfed in flames during Havan rituals, SIT notice pasted on wall

A special Havan rituals orgnaised at JD(S) MLA and former Karnataka Minister HD Revanna’s residence on Wednesday despite the scorching summer heat. A police notice was pasted on the wall of his house, which is catching the everyone’s attention. .

Before departing for Holenarasipura, #Revanna had interacted with media in Bengaluru. He stated that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had pasted a notice on his house. Expressing his lack of knowledge about the content of the notice, he affirmed his willingness to cooperate with the authorities.

“I have the strength to face these conspiracies. I will face it (investigation). There is no need to worry. I have done nothing wrong. I am prepared for any investigation and will confront it legally,” Revanna stated, refuting all allegations.

Meanwhile, the SIT has formed three teams to investigate the case. Revanna, the Holenarasipura JD(S) MLA, is the son of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda and elder brother of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Just before the elections, a significant amount of explicit videos and photographs purportedly belonging to him circulated on social media. In response, the Karnataka government constituted the SIT at the request of Karnataka State Commission for Women chairperson Nagalakshmi Chowdhary.

A case has been filed against Revanna and Prajwal in Holenarasipura on a complaint by their former cook and relative, alleging sexual harassment. She claimed that Prajwal made objectionable video calls to her daughter, prompting her to block him.

Throughout the morning, priests performed rituals at Revanna’s residence in Hassan district to “ward off adversity” affecting their family. Revanna’s strong belief in gods, goddesses, rituals, and astrology is well known. He has been observed holding lemons during public events, believing in their ability to ward off negative influences.

Additionally, Revanna has been seen walking barefoot as part of vows to fulfill his desires. During his tenure as Public Works Minister in the coalition government led by his brother Kumaraswamy, he reportedly traveled 350 km to and from Holenarasipura on the advice of an astrologer to avoid staying in his Bengaluru home, which was deemed unlucky.

Revanna’s distinctive appearance, marked by a broad ‘Tilak’ on his forehead, a garland of Rudraksh Rosary around his neck, and rings adorned with precious stones, is a testament to his devout beliefs.
