Against the implementation of the Clinical Establishment Act in the state, private doctors have closed down their Hospital Clinics and Pathology Centers for the sixth day all over Uttarakhand. Private doctor are on strike from February 15 on the call of IMA.
On Wednesday, all the striking doctors gathered in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Rishikesh Municipal Corporation. Everyone there kept a two-minute silence giving tribute to the martyrs in the encounter of the Pulwama attack. Members of the Indian Dental Association are also on strike with IMA.
After this, the striking doctors of the municipal corporation took out a rally in the city. In support of these Ayurvedic Medicine Association, Pharmacist, Chemist Association and MR of various companies also joined the rally. Through the rally, practitioners made the public aware of the problems and discrepancies arising from this act.
The rally ended in the State Medical College, Dehradun Road. The meeting was organized there. In this IMA President Dr. Hariom Prasad, Secretary of Indian Dental Association Dr. Gagan Sharma etc. condemned the government’s dogma in his address.
Doctors said that there are about 2000 people in the city’s various clinics and private hospitals daily. These people have to face trouble since one week but the government does not care for doctors and citizens.
