ATM Robbery in broad daylight; SP

Tw0 motorcycle- borne robbers looted Rs 25 Lakh while the employees of Axis Bank were filling  currency into an ATM at Roorkee in Haridwar district on Saturday. Haridwar SP Manikant Mishra has ascertained it.

The incident occurred at around 1.30 pm in the Gang Nahar police station area created panic as the robbers fired shots in the air and injured the guard of the bank by hitting him on his head by the butt of a fire arm.

Shocked with the sudden attack, the two bank employees who were about to load the ATM with cash handed over the bag which contained Rs 25 lakh of currency to them. Meanwhile the injured guard was rushed to the hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

The SP (Rural) Haridwar Manikant Mishra ascertained it and said that two person were involved in the robbery as per the CCTV footage.
