Governor Dr KK Paul said that re-unions provided the opportunity to ex-students of any educational institution to refresh their memories.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the re-union of Oak Grove School, Jharipani, Mussoorie where a large number of ex-alumni from various parts of the country and the world had gathered.
The 129 year old Oak Grove school had a glorious history and heritage. Students of the school had attained prestigious positions in society and spread the glory of the school. Any educational institution had the objective of imparting quality education and bringing about an improvement in society. Oak Grove school had succeeded in doing this.
The Governor called upon the students to read good books besides those prescribed in the syllabus. He said reading built our character and personality. He said leadership qualities and team work were important for succeeding in life. Teachers must cultivate in students the ability to think innovatively.
Cultural programmes were presented on the occasion.
