The fourth edition of Governor’s Gold Cup Sailing Regatta, 2017 (Oct 25-27) competition will kick off on Wednesday with all the four participating teams — Nainital Yacht Club, Tamil Nadu Sailing Association and two others preparing themselves for the big show. Among other attractions, drone photography will be used for the first time in the event.
Veer Srivastava, commodore of the NTYC said, “The three-day event will inspire people to cherish and continue the legacy of yacht sailing in the lake town.”
The sailing event which had already become a talking point in the entire region is expected to attract a lot of audience. Impressed with the skilled manoeuvres by the professional sailors as well as enthusiasm of the general public some fans have already planned their next visit.
The Nainital Yacht Club, Tamil Nadu Sailing Association, Secunderabad Sailing Club, and Royal Bambay Yacht Club will take part in the event.
