On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, September 5, President Droupadi Murmu honored Dr. Manju Bala of Uttarakhand with the prestigious National Teacher Award 2025 in a ceremony held in New Delhi. She was among the 45 outstanding teachers from across the country felicitated in the presence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Dr. Manju Bala, Principal of a government school in Chyurani, Champawat district, was recognized for her innovative efforts in adopting trilingual technology in education, making the learning process simpler, more effective, and student-friendly. With this achievement, she has also become the first woman principal from Uttarakhand to receive this national honor, marking a proud moment for the state.

Her dedication to improving classroom practices and enhancing student engagement has set a benchmark for educators in the region. Officials noted that her work serves as an inspiration for both teachers and students, motivating others to embrace modern teaching techniques.
