A video that recently went viral in Ramnagar showing two girl students removing burqas from a scooter and later wearing them has led to the unearthing of a serious case involving the alleged exploitation of a 14-year-old Hindu girl. The incident has sparked tension in the town, with Hindu organizations demanding swift action.
According to police, the minor was last seen attending school on Thursday but did not return home. Worried, her parents approached the school authorities and later lodged a complaint at the Ramnagar police station. During Investigations it has revealed that the girl was in touch with a Muslim youth, identified as Samad Ghazi, and had gone to the residence of another Muslim classmate.
The girl’s parents alleged that she had been brainwashed and misled. During the inquiry, reports of sexual misconduct also surfaced, and a medical examination confirmed sexual assault. The youth accused in the case is absconding, and police have launched a search operation.
Following on the complaint, FIR No. 351/2025 dated 19/09/2025 under Section 140(3) BNS has been registered against unknown persons. SHO Arun Saini stated that the matter would be probed and all individuals involved would be brought to light.
The case has drawn attention of Hindu organizations, who suspect the involvement of a larger group. They have warned of widespread protests if the accused are not arrested soon and demanded a high-level probe. Security has been tightened in sensitive areas of the city to prevent unrest.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and assured that strict action will be taken once the accused is apprehended.
