Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday presented a supplementary budget of ₹5,315 crore in the ongoing assembly session at Bhararisain, describing it as a roadmap for sustainable and inclusive development of Uttarakhand.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said the budget has been prepared in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.” He emphasized that the supplementary budget is not merely a financial document but a reflection of the government’s resolve towards innovation, human capital investment, and balanced economic growth.

The Chief Minister highlighted that provisions have been made for electricity tariff subsidies, health schemes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, housing for police personnel, rest houses for attendants, and welfare funds for martyrs and journalists. Special focus has also been given to disaster mitigation and environmental balance, with allocations for landslide and earthquake risk management, spring mapping, and disaster relief measures.

On infrastructure development, CM Dhami said priority projects include the Rispana-Bindal elevated road, Pantnagar airport expansion, Kumbh Mela infrastructure, and tourism facilities. He reiterated the government’s commitment to developing Rishikesh as a “Yoga City” and Haridwar as a “Spiritual Tourism City,” while also strengthening cultural and religious events such as the Nanda Rajjat Yatra and the Sharda River Front.

“This supplementary budget is another strong step towards building a new Uttarakhand,” Dhami said, appealing to citizens to support the government’s development journey.
