A major administrative reform was approved with the amendment in the departmental structure of the Uttarakhand Biotechnology Council. To tackle challenges such as land subsidence, the cabinet approved the creation of 18 new posts in the Geology and Mining Department. Its objectives is to enhance the department’s capacity to respond effectively to geological incidents and natural hazards.

In a step towards better flood management and regulation of construction activities, the final notification of flood plain zoning was approved for both banks of the Asan River—from Bhatta Fall to Asan Barrage. The monetization and operation of five inspection buildings of the Public Works Department (located in Ranikhet, Uttarkashi, Duggalbitta, Harshil, and Rishikesh) under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model was also approved. The responsibility for this has been entrusted to the Uttarakhand Infrastructure and Industrial Development Board (UIIDB).

In the healthcare sector, the formation of the Uttarakhand State Allied and Healthcare Council was approved under the National Allied and Healthcare Professions Commission Act, 2021. This council will regulate allied health professionals and ensure better service delivery in the state.
