In a decisive response to recent terror attacks, the Indian Army launched precision strikes on terror targets located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) late Wednesday night. The operation, codenamed Operation Sindoor, was carried out two weeks after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
According to reliable sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was actively monitoring the high-risk operation throughout the night, receiving real-time updates from the armed forces and security agencies. The strikes targeted multiple launchpads and infrastructure used by terrorist groups operating across the border.
India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, posted a strong message on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, stating, “The world must show zero tolerance for terrorism.” His statement underscores India’s firm stance on cross-border terrorism and calls on the international community to unite in eradicating safe havens for terror.
Sources within the defence establishment confirmed that the operation was carefully planned and executed using a combination of ground intelligence and aerial surveillance. While official figures on the casualties or damage inflicted during the strike are yet to be released, defence analysts believe the operation dealt a significant blow to terror networks operating from Pakistani soil.
The Indian Army has been on high alert following the April 2025 Pahalgam attack, which triggered national outrage and demands for a strong response. Wednesday night’s operation is being viewed as a clear message to those supporting and harboring terrorism.
As of now, there has been no official reaction from Pakistan. However, the Indian government has reiterated that the action was a preemptive measure against imminent threats and that it remains committed to safeguarding its citizens from terrorism.
