Selaqui International School Hosts 8th IGT 2025, 11 Schools participated

In a bid to bring young talents of Golf from across the country selaqui international school hosts 8th One Day Invitational Golf Tournament (IGT) 2025 on April 19. Its objective was to foster sportsmanship, enhance budding talent and inculcate the spirit of healthy competition among sports.

A total of 11 prestigious schools participated in this highly anticipated event, with 40 young golfers competing in three categories — Under-14 Boys, Under-19 Boys, and Girls Open (Classes V to XII). Participating schools included DPS Khanna, The Oasis School Dehradun, Pacific Golf Academy, Frima Golf Course, Modern School Barakhamba Road New Delhi, Guru Nanak Public School, Scholars Home Dehradun, G.S.S.S. Ludhiana, Welham Girls Dehradun, Y.P.S. Mohali, and Anurag Public School Dehradun.

In the Under-14 Boys category, Krishiv Dhanuka from the host Selaqui International School emerged as the winner, followed by Shobhit Cole from Pacific Golf Academy and Akshay Kumar from G.S.S.S. Ludhiana.

G.S.S.S. Ludhiana dominated the Under-19 Boys category, claiming all three top positions — Pawan Kumar as the winner, Satinder as the runner-up, and Nigam Kumar as the second runner-up.

In the Girls Open category, Swastika from Guru Nanak Public School secured first place, while Drishti Mahajan from Selaqui International School was runner-up, and Anureet Kaur Khangura from DPS Khanna took third place.

Special awards were also presented: Gurpreet Singh (DPS Khanna) was named the youngest player, Amaya Marwa was declared the Emerging Player, and Mehar Guleri (Oasis School) was recognized as the Promising Player.

In the overall team competition, G.S.S.S. Ludhiana secured the championship, followed by Selaqui International School as the runner-up and Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, in third place.

Headmaster  Dilip Panda, while distributing prizes, emphasized the importance of sports in developing character, teamwork, and resilience among youth.
