The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an avalanche warning for areas above 2,500 meters in Uttarkashi district. In response, local authorities and disaster management teams have been put on high alert to ensure public safety.
The district administration has directed concerned agencies to increase surveillance in vulnerable areas and deploy watchers to monitor the situation closely. Tourists and local residents have been advised to stay in safe locations and avoid unnecessary travel to higher altitudes.
Emergency response teams have been instructed to remain prepared for any crisis, ensuring a swift response if required. The administration has also urged residents to report any emergencies immediately to the District Emergency Operation Center or the Police Control Room.
